About Me

My name is Corey DeAngelo Guy Jr, Cinema Television and Emerging Media Studies major with a Sports Journalism minor at Morehouse College. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; there I learned and adapted the love for photography and interest in media. As a student I’ve been learning and soaking in a lot of information over the years pertaining to media, videography, and photography. Through this I was given a lot of opportunities including shadowing other photographers and attending the National Association of Black Journalist convention in Miami. I’ve freelanced a lot of my photography; however, I am involved with our campus media outlet the Maroon Tiger where I’ve gotten the opportunity to showcase some of my photography skills. However, through growth interest in all media it led to an interest in editing and videography. This is where I adapted the skill necessary to become proficient in the adobe suites, specifically, photoshop and premier. I’m a Post-secondary educational student with experience in retail sales and community service volunteering.  Exceptional skillsets in planning, effective problem-solving, communication and presentation ability, as well as PC applications. Continually focusing on maintaining success as a college student, experience in leading teams, meeting deadlines in pressure situations and project management is the foundation that has helped to achieve a variety of notable accomplishments. I’m a team player, however, I’m always excited to approach new challenges on my own.  I’m resilient and extremely motivated. I want my dreams, goals, and aspirations to come to fruition so others like me can be successful.
